This summer opt for a barely there make up look as seen on the catwalk shows of Louis Vuitton, Chloe, Prada and Sonia Rykiel. The key to this look is to focus on the eyes and cheeks. Use lashings of mascara and use dark eyeshadows as an eyeliner. Finally add a flash of colour to the apples of the cheeks and leave lips bare or use a nude lipstick.

Delicately flushed cheeks in peachy apricot and pastel pinks were seen on the catwalk shows of Michael Kors, Roland Mouret and Acquascutum. This perfect pinch of colour lights up the face with a subtle warmth whilst highlighting the contours of your cheeks. For best results sweep across the apples of the cheeks in an upwards motion going out towards the hairline.

Eye make up is the easiest way to make a fashion statement and this season the eyes had it. Miu Miu, Derek Lam and Richard Chai applied bold colour to the lids, Rodarte, Gucci and Ungaro went over all smoky whilst Marios Schwab, Giorgio Armani and Richard Nicoll taught us how to create a modern cat eye look. And finally, there's the doll eye lashes as seen at Marc Jacobs and Viktor & Rolf.

Rouge on up with this season's hottest colours ranging from iconic reds to oranges, deep purple, bright blues and dark chocolate. Don't forget for best results use a lip primer to keep the colour put and a lip liner so the colour doesn't run. This season be daring with your lippy choices.
