The UK charity for the protection of our seas, shores and wildlife
Our seas are under immense pressure: too many fish are being taken out, too much rubbish is being thrown in and too little is being done to protect our precious marine wildlife and vital fish stocks.
The Marine Conservation Society's vision is for seas that are fit for wildlife to thrive in and for people to enjoy, and seas that will support future generations with abundant resources.
We champion the need for marine wildlife protection, sustainable fisheries and clean seas and beaches.
Our many successes and campaigns to date include the introduction of Marine Acts to give better protection to our seas and marine life, and influencing sustainable seafood choices by major retailers and consumers through the Good Fish Guide.
We have also brought together thousands of volunteers in Beachwatch to clean our beaches of litter, and campaigned for Marine Reserves Now! to create safe havens for wildlife and fish populations to recover.
Involving people in our fight for ocean recovery is core to our work
Whether you join us, donate, or support one of our many projects and campaigns, you can help our seas and wildlife recover.
Mantaray are proud to work with MCS. We donate the profits from one of our key clothing products to them every year to help them in their efforts to clean up our beaches. We have also taken part in beach clean up activities with some of our staff donating their time.
