that are destined to take our summer style into full

In the last year alone at Debenhams, our
womenswear team has introduced the
fabulous Jenny Packham to the Designers at
Debenhams portfolio, brought the addition
to Edition of Marios Schwab and now, with
great excitement, we welcome celebrated
milliner Stephen Jones with a new and
exclusive range - Top Hat.

So who is Stephen Jones? Those not aware of his style
credentials must surely have had their own heads buried under
(not-so-stylish) hats for many a fashion season, with Stephen
a regular collaborator with the industry's most influential
designers such as Marc Jacobs, Giles Deacon, Christian Dior
and Comme des Garcons. Not a bad CV, it has to be said.

Often hailed as the best milliner in the world, Stephen's
fashion fans and followers include Italian Vogue's Anna Piaggi
and Hamish Bowles of Vogue USA, with celebrity followers
such as Kylie Minogue, Dita von Teese and Beyonce. We've
already started looking out for a celeb or two rocking a piece
from Top Hat.

All my work is inspired by texture and
details and spring/summer '13 captures
this so beautifully.

I love the patchwork broderie white dress
that features in the spring campaign, and
my cutwork navy cotton voile dress is a
perfect way to work the bicolour trend.
The petal shift is also a beautiful piece.

There is a scene, at Ascot, from My Fair
Lady, which has inspired the strong
graphic feel that is evident in the
full-skirted organza dress.

To me this piece represents occasion
dressing at its most chic.

The Butterfly by Matthew Williamson
collection this summer is all about
easy, relaxed glamour.

The collection is made up of easy-to
wear shapes, perfect for the summer
wardrobe.

Our signature girly spot and also a new
digital fairground print are key pieces to
look out for. Sadie and I will definitely be
wearing the collection - we really think
there's a style to suit every shape and size.
Really happy, easy pieces that are cool
and different.

Our daughters Iris and Edie are an endless
source of inspiration and, of course, Cara
Delevigne - she is so summer '13.

For SS13 I was thinking of glamorous garden
parties and looking into florals and fresh prints.
I was keen to mix pale pastel tones with punchier
brights to balance the collection.

A stylish woman demonstrates attention to detail
and self-awareness. The perfect accessory should
enhance the perfect outfit. The perfect outfit
should make you feel desirable.

The key pieces are the jacquard dress
and pencil skirt, showing a great mix
between feminine silhouettes and
graphic pattern.

From sandy beaches to city skylines, we've sorted out your
wardrobes for every eventuality and many a destination.

Are you ready to join the style high club?

No matter how gorgeous we are, we ladies tend to be internally
programmed to dislike parts of our body, if not all of it. Our bums are
too big, hips too wide or waist too narrow - we're never satisfied.

When it comes to liking what we see in the mirror, it doesn't have to
mean anything complicated and time consuming such as going on a
diet or starting an intensive workout regime. It would be incredibly
boring if we all looked like supermodels - the secret is to embrace
who we are, and what we've got.

The lady with an apple
shaped body tends to have
broad shoulders compared to
narrow hips. She has enviably
slim legs, tending to be larger
in the bust area.

Pears tend to be slim on top,
curvy on the bottom, with
hips wider than the bust area
- think of this shape as similar
to hourglass, without the
ample cleavage.

Rectangle shapes boast a
waist measurement that is less
than 9 inches smaller than the
hips or bust, with any extra
weight evenly distributed
about the frame.

The hip and bust are almost of
equal size with a narrow waist
- think Marilyn Monroe and
sexy 50s starlets and you're
on the right track.

When it comes to the art of dressing, it isn't so much getting
into shape that counts as much as knowing your shape.
What should you wear for yours? Read on to find out...

Apple shapes should avoid
patterns on top, as a rule,
with above the knee lengths
preferable when it comes to
dresses and skirts.

Pears should opt for A-line or
flared skirts, no pleats or side
pockets for these add to the
hip area. Jackets work well,
as do deeper necklines and
revealing the shoulders.

Detail on hips is fabulous;
patterns, embellishments
etc. Flared skirts and wrap
dresses create shape, as do
jackets with slight shoulder
padding - not circa 1980.

Work that waist in dresses with
big belts. Strike a balance in
outfits that have the same
volume on top and bottom,
showing off those good legs
with any length skirt.

Following on from our Man vs Fashion
feature last issue, this time around we've
expanded the concept, asking our boys for
their point of view - before comparing with
that of a fashionable female.

Moving on from day-to-day trends, for issue
4 we asked for opinions on quirky, standout

Love following the trends, but hate how much fashion can fritter
away you finances? Trust us - clothes don't have to be costly.

In a bid to prove to you (plus our husbands, boyfriends, dads, etc)
that it doesn't take much to make us fashion fabulous, we decided
to style three looks, at three different prices. From casual to cor blimey,
here we showcase the real price of fashion...

Funny, quirky and more than a little bit fabulous, we've
got a huge fashion crush on one of our Designers at
Debenhams, Mr Henry Holland.

With his latest collection for summer '13 currently heating
up our wardrobes, we took the time to get on the blower to
Henry to find out what's next for H! by Henry Holland -
and the man himself.

Q: You initially studied journalism... so how did you
then come to be one of Britain's hottest designers?
A: I started making tees while I was still working in magazines and they
took off really quickly, so my hobby fast became my job. I was so lucky.
I just saw an opportunity and thought I should explore it as far as I
could and I'm still here! I never thought I would be.

Q: You've done a few bits of TV/presenting work recently -
is there another career you may turn your talents to?
Is Henry the Hollywood star next on the list?
A: My acting is terrible so I doubt Hollywood is calling... I do miss
writing and would love to do some more of that again in the future.

Q: Maybe we can get you to write something for the next issue
then? From working on magazines to meeting the Queen, you've
had quite the life so far - can you name one stand-out moment?
A: It's really hard to choose one moment of your life that is momentous.
I'm so thrilled to be able to do what I do every day and work with my best
mates that, at the risk of sounding a bit smug, I suppose I'm just chuffed to
be where I am. The shows every Fashion Week are always stand out and the
proudest, scariest, thrilling and nerve wracking element of what I do.

Q: You recently showcased House of Holland AW13
at LFW. We once read that you feel everyone teases
you for looking silly when you take your bow -
have you perfected your catwalk look yet?
A: I don't think so... You just feel so self-conscious in
that moment and it doesn't help that you are about four
stone heavier than all the other people that have just
walked out onto the catwalk.

Q: Speaking of stand-out moments, we can't wait for
the new H! by Henry Holland collection at Debenhams.
Last spring/summer season was tropicana and parrots -
what can we expect for 2013?
A: We have a masculine/feminine story - some more sportswear
than usual and, of course, some more amazing knitwear that I
can't wait for you to see.

Q: Catwalk appearances aside, your style always looks
cool - what would you not ever be seen in?
A: A skirt?! I'm pretty up for trying anything.

Q: Is there any item of clothing/one trend for women
that you feel should be sent to fashion cupboard 101?
A: There are quite a few but I wouldn't like to say because
I'm sure I'll offend someone!

We see you as the kind of guy who's effortlessly
'cool'.... so what's your take on the below:

Q: Fake tan or pale & interesting?
A: I prefer natural - if you're tanned then embrace it,
but if you're pale then play to that too.
Q: Heels or flats?
A: Heels
Q: Hair extensions or pixie crop?
A: Pixie crop
Q: Blonde, brunette or redhead?
A: All three - not all at once on the same head though!
Q: Dressed down or dressed up?
A: Dressed down

So there you have it. To work a look as cool as Henry's simply
be natural, work it in heels, crop your hair and play around with
the hair dye... And wear H! by Henry Holland, of course.

This month we have a bumper beauty issue. Our Beauty Club Award
Winners for 2013 have now been announced so you can shop your
favourites in every category including fragrance, skincare, make up
and body. Recreate the latest looks from the runway with a selection of
unique products by Dior that have been used by their backstage experts.
Plus, I caught up with Louise Redknapp and Stella McCartney to find
out more about their latest new products.

Stella McCartney has always inspired me with her unrivalled
creative vision as a fashion designer, with her entrepreneurial
skills and her passion for raising social awareness, so I was
super excited when I was invited to attend the launch of her
new fragrance L.I.L.Y Absolute.

Greeted with Elderflower drinks at the Stella McCartney
Boutique in Chelsea I eagerly awaited the arrival of Stella
whilst meandering through all the gorgeousness in the store.

I have always been a fan of Stella and her debut fragrance Eau
de Parfum by Stella McCartney is a permanent feature of my
fragrance wardrobe so I was curious as to how the new L.I.L.Y
Absolute would compare.

Stella arrived looking effortlessly chic in just a pair of
jeans and a blazer. In the flesh she is simply stunning and
she has this innate ability to wow a crowd with her
incredible sense of humour.

But, would the new fragrance be just as impressive as Stella
herself? L.I.L.Y, if you don't know is a scent that was inspired
by her mother and the name L.I.L.Y was her father's pet name
for her mother (Linda I Love You). The top note is Lily of the
Valley, Stella's favourite fragrance note which also featured in
her wedding bouquet. Stella has now taken L.I.L.Y to a whole
new level by playing with contrasting notes. Whereas the original
L.I.L.Y is a very feminine scent she reveals a new masculine
side to her latest new fragrance.

I highly recommend this fragrance and the best bit...
it's perfect for day, night and special occasions. So, if you're
a spicy/oriental fragrance lover L.I.L.Y Absolute is this
season's must-have scent.

We're excited to reveal the winners of our Beauty
Club Awards 2013. This year Debenhams Beauty
Club teamed up with Glamour Magazine, Britain's
Number One Women's Monthly Magazine and
we'd like to thank each and every one of you who
took part in voting for your favourite products.

Over 27,000 votes were submitted and our panel
of expert judges, including Claudia Mahoney -
GLAMOUR's Executive Fashion & Beauty Editor has
now deliberated and we're pleased to announce
this year's winners. We'd also like to take this
opportunity to congratulate Chanel Mademoiselle
for being a winner for the 3rd year running.

This year Claudia Mahoney, Glamour
Magazine's Executive Fashion & Beauty
Editor joined the Debenhams Beauty Club
Awards judging panel and after weeks
of deliberating our judges have picked
all your favourite winners. From skincare
essentials to make up must-haves you can
now view the winning products in each
category including make up, fragrance,
skincare and body.

Louise Redknapp's Wild about Beauty make up range has
caused a wow since its launch in September 2012. With
high-performance, skin nourishing formulas, gorgeous
colour pallets in packaging that's just to die for, her new
range has certainly got us going wild.

I managed to grab a coffee with the lovely Louise and found
out what treats Wild about Beauty has for us with their
Spring/Summer 2013 Collection, her work with the Born
Free Foundation and who she sees as a natural beauty.

We're loving Wild about Beauty, what
inspired you to launch your own make-up range?
I co-founded Wild about Beauty with international
make-up artist Kim Jacob. When I was pregnant with my
first son, Charley, I developed a skin pigmentation on my
face where darker patches started to appear. I searched
for products that would conceal the patches without
making me feel like I was wearing heavy make-up, but
I couldn't find anything on the market that fulfilled my
needs. Around that time I was on a magazine cover shoot
with Kim, she showed me a different way to apply my
make-up and used products that I had never seen before.
That's where it all began.

The Wild about Beauty range offers products that
create a fantastic natural look, where did the idea
come from to take the range in this direction?
I'm a big advocate of 'less is more' when it comes to
make-up; coupled with Kim's holistic approach it was a
natural step for us to produce a high performing makeup
range that offers women a choice of products to give
them confidence to create a beautiful natural look.
It's about looking good and feeling good and our makeup
is paraben-free, skin- nourishing, packed with natural
ingredients and easy to use - perfect for the woman on
the go...I think that's every woman!

I've had a sneak preview of your fabulous SS
collection, where did the inspiration come for
those gorgeous golden tones of the Safari
Nights/ Born Free palette?
The Safari Nights palette was inspired by the sun
kissed plains of Africa and is packed with golden hues
in powder and cream eyeshadows with complementary
nude and bronze highlight, blush and lip colours.
From every purchase of the palette £4.00 will go to the
Born Free Lion Proof Boma project. With just 2,000
lions left roaming in the wild in Kenya, this and so many
other Born Free projects, are crucial to preventing the
extinction of this noble animal.

How did you become involved with
the Born Free Foundation?
It's no secret how much I love animals,
I think my two British Bulldogs Benny
and Bella are testament to that, they
completely rule the household! Last year
I felt very privileged to be asked by the
Born Free Foundation to become a patron
of their charity. With the launch of Safari
Nights it's brought two of my passions
together.

What other gems does the SS collection hold?
My eye is never far from the catwalk and our SS limited
edition nail varnish in Flora (Coral), Martin (Bronze)
and Tanwen (Green) promises to complement this
season's wardrobe trends.

What can we look forward to from Wild about
Beauty in the coming months?
There's loads of new great products with some really
new exciting shades from aubergine to mid blue duos
and great new nail colours to tie in with the S/S and
A/W fashion trends.

Who would you say is a natural beauty?
I admire women like Helena Christensen and Yasmin
Le Bon, I love their effortless look, it's simple, classic,
beautiful.

Looking back, do you have any 'did I really
wear my make-up like that' moments?
Being in Eternal we had a host of make-up artists that
travelled with us and each of them would apply make-up
differently. I went from wearing barely any make-up to
spending over an hour in the make-up chair. By the time
the make-up artist had finished I just about recognised
myself - it was a little scary at 20!

The world of business has generated some
incredible, successful women with a strong
company ethos, who would you say has been
an inspiration?
I love businesses that are created from a personal
perspective. I have great admiration for Julie Dean
who started the Cambridge Satchel Company. She
discovered her daughter was being bullied at school
and vowed to move her to a new one but couldn't
afford the fees. She needed to find a way to raise funds
and decided on making satchels. From working around
her kitchen table her company has grown in to a multi
million business today.
