Marine Conservation Society
The UK charity for the protection of our seas, shores and wildlife
Our seas are under huge pressure: too many fish are being taken out, too much rubbish is being thrown in and too little is being done to protect marine wildlife and vital fish stocks.
The Marine Conservation Society's wants to ensure that our seas are fit for wildlife to thrive in, for people to enjoy, and that they will feed future generations with sustainable fish stocks.
MCS' work covers everything to do with the waters around the UK coast and beyond.
Every year thousands of volunteers join us on the beach to clean up and survey litter as part of our Beachwatch programme - the most influential campaign about the amount of rubbish on beaches in the UK.
Our Fishonline website and Pocket Good Fish guide advises industry, chefs and consumers on the most sustainable fish to buy and serve.
Our online Good Beach Guide advises people where the cleanest bathing waters in the UK are and urges beachgoers to vote with their feet and not swim in waters that fail to meet our exacting standards.
YOU can help the work we do to secure a healthier future for our seas by becoming an MCS member, making a donation or getting involved in our many projects and campaigns.
Mantaray are proud to work with MCS. We donate the profits from one of our key clothing lines to them every year to help them in their efforts to clean up our beaches. We have also taken part in beach clean up activities with some of our staff donating their time.
