Dark blue bootcut jeans
These jeans look good, fit well and seem pretty durable. However, they are unbelievably stiff. I thought that a few washes would soften them up a bit but this has not been the case so far. It's like wearing cardboard tubes around your legs.
My other complaint is that the stitching at the back is incredibly scratchy, to the extent that the jeans were unwearable until my saintly mother-in-law sewed a patch of fabric over the top of the worst offending section.
Overal I'm not massively impressed but since I've already shortened the legs and sewn the afore-mentioned patch of fabric on them I won't be returning them. Instead I will persist in the faint hope that they will eventually soften.
Let down by odd sizing
Firstly, I know other reviewers have stated that, if these don't fit you can simply go up a size. Unfortunately, it's not always as simple as that; increasing the waist size beyond your norm often ends up leaving you with a pair of trousers that may be far looser and longer in the leg than you're used to, or wish. Given how these jeans are cut, a 36' waist would have fitted my waist but swamped me in other areas.
I purchased these in a size 34' waist and regular (32') leg. I'm a 32/34' waist (Christmas has pushed me more to a 34' now!) but these were extremely uncomfortable to wear. Not only were they far tighter in the waist than any other jeans I've purchased in this size, but the factor that made them completely unwearable was the cut of the 'saddle' (for want of a better word). To put it politely, even if they are worn low, more like a pair of hipsters, there is insufficient fabric to accommodate certain parts of the male form without leaving you singing like one of the Bee Gees! They almost appear more like the cut of a pair of women's jeans. What's more, the 32' regular leg (that I always buy) was far too long for me; no doubt due in part to having such limited room between the waistband and the beginning of the inside leg.
Excellent product made just for me
When I got the delivery and touch this material, the texture feels great and and suit all weather. Perfectly fit in and goes well with my favorite shoes. I would recommend this product over and over again.
Lovely jeans, but button fell off at first wash
I bought these jeans for my husband. The fit and style are great and he was very pleased with them. Unfortunately the first time I washed them a button and rivet came off in the washing machine.
Really nice quality pair of jeans. Cost slightly more than I really wanted to pay, but if you can get them in a sale then you're on to a winner. The only thing to be careful about is that the label suggests washing on a wool wash - not sure how long they'll last if you don't follow that advice
if these jeans fit you you will not be disappointed . the quality is really good . good weight . i am very please
i got these with another 10% of the sale price .. these are really nice jeans fit good .. good quality .. good weight .. good cut .. im quite slim .. very please .. bargain
Great quality jeans
Yes these are small, but what designer brands aren't? I bought mine in store so I could try them on and yes I had to get the next size up from normal.
Unlike the last reviewer I won't be marking them down on all counts just because of the sizing issue, (just send them back and get the next size up!)
These jeans are well made of a good quality medium to heavy denim, but the comfy kind, quite soft due to the hand brushing. Style is good too, I prefer bootcut, straight leg just doesn't to give me enough room to be fully comfortable.
I am not allowed to say how much I paid for these, (see the review writing guidelines), but needless to say I picked a good day to visit the store as there was a huge sale on, Debenhams were practically giving these away! :-)
Having worn them a few times I can honestly say I would happily pay full price for another pair.
