Product description

Item No. 1233809225

The 'L'Heure Bleue' bath and body line prolongs the pleasure of this suspended moment, when the sun disappears beneath the horizon and the sky is painted with night's velvet. Its perfumed body lotion moisturises the skin, leaving it refreshed and subtly silky. Its delicate fragrance is created in the image of 'L'Heure Bleue'. An exquisite ode to the enjoyment of life and romanticism, it superbly expresses the moment when 'the night has not yet found its star'. Starting with head notes of aniseed and bergamot it goes down to tuberose, rose, violet, carnation and neroli in its heart notes and tonka bean, iris, benzoin and vanilla in its base notes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from True Vintage This was bought for an 80th birthday gift for a lady who wore it on her wedding day 60 years ago and has always worn it since. Expensive taste but romantic!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not the same, but... I have long loved this perfume; for me, it has always been unique. Now I wonder what they have done to it - an impression born out by the description. The first top notes of this new bottle are to me very much like talcum with a touch of rose, which is not what I remember. Later, and this has always been a slow developing perfume on me, it seems that the old L'Heure Bleue is struggling to come through; I think eventually it does, and it's wonderful, as of old. The first time, it was still with me ten hours later. So perhaps it is now more like a rose garden than how I might imagine Paris in a smoky, 1912 twilight, but I guess I still love it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from DISAPPOINTED I purchased this product recently as I wanted to try a different perfume to my favourite which is no longer available. The product comes in a nicely shaped glass atomizer and looks stylish on display. I find it to be quite long lasting and can smell it much later on in the day. The problem for me was that it came over as too powdery and cloying ,almost peppery in its nature and was not sweet or floral in any way. It is an unusual perfume but unfortunately not what I was looking for. I hope this has been helpful but my strong recommendation is to try it first as it may be more suitable to someone who is looking for an old fashioned type scent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely smell I took a risk with this eau de toilette as my first love was Guerlain Mitsouku before they changed the ingredients and made it smell of nothing. My risk paid off, this is a very unusual scent, not as lovely as my beloved Mitsouku but having tried loads of other scents this one has been the only one I believe I could learn to love. I have also received complements whilst wearing it. It is quite strong so only a little is needed, and it is long lasting. It is hard to describe the scent as all scents smell different on different people. I would say go and get a squirt of it before you order just to make sure. That is what I did.
