I'm in love with my backup, it is the best make up for black skin I've used in a long time

This foundation does what it says. Complete coverage, Matt finish and long wearing. However, I have combination skin and the oil shone through after about 3 hours. The make up didn't melt off though.
The next day, I used the Multi Action as a primer. Put the CC foundation on and then put the Two Way Cake on top to set it.
Lasted all day no problems.
Great, if a primer is used.
Fantastic for a full coverage flawless look
Great for evenings out.
Probably good if you have dry or normal skin
Fantastic colour range.
If can find perfect colour match, then worth the money.
Negatives - not a stand alone product if you have oily or combination skin
Need a primer and/ or setting powder for us oillier skin beauties.
Need to be colour matched.
Some may consider this range expensive.

So if you are thinking of getting this foundation you should because its has great coverage, it has fantastic colour range, and applies very nicely. The finish is also lovely. It is amazing how 1 foundation can color match more than 1 person once it settles in. My friend and i used colour 10, our shades are just slightly different but it still worked for the two of us so thats a plus about this foundation. Now! for the other bit, I gave it 4 stars and not 5 BECAUSE! although this foundation is OIL FREE! you still get incredibly oily! I have combination skin and after 3 to 4 hours I have to blot, by 6 hours you will definitely be blotting all the time or need to powder up a little bit. I don't understand how and oil free foundation gets you oily? I don't feel this has any oil control in it whatsoever. This is the only high end foundation I have bought that has made me oily after just 3-4 hours. Don't think i would use this on a very hot day. You will need very good mattyfing primers, milk of magnesia or mattyfing make up fixers to stop you getting oily. Don't get me wrong, the make still stays on your face and does not melt off, it has long staying power. It just has bad oil control. So 4 stars for that.

I heard about blackUp from my sister and i decided to give it a go. When i visited the counter in oxford street, i had very bad acnee scars. So when the lady was applying the foundation to my face i had little expectations. However, i was extremely shocked at how well it covered the scars. Although not completely but it was pretty impressive.(the lady at the counter advised applying a concealer beforehand and the two-way cake powder would give even better results). I was particularly impressed with the coverage and finish. But i could only afford the foundation at that moment so i bought it and ordered the powder the following day.
I loved the foundation when i first started using it but after a while, it just went from really good to 'blaaah' for me. My skin gets REALLY oily and shinny than usual after a few hours of wearing it. But when i use a primer it is less of a problem. (so i recommend using a primer). It doesn't cover up as good it used to (perhaps because ive had it for almost a year).
