Build Your Own Palette OZ Glinda
Absolutely adore this palette. It's a limited edition so purchased a few. Really disappointing its a limited edition because you cannot replace the shadows, so you have to purchase the palette again which is annoying and costly. You can however find dupes or different colours from UD and replace them. Some fantastic tutorials on You Tube which shows loads of ways of using ths palette. I also purchased the Theodora palette as well which is awesome. I have blue eyes and wear clear coloured contact lenses. I also regularly wear brown coloured contact lenses and the compliments I receive about the shadow colours are amazing. Whether you have blue, brown or green eyes this palette will not disappoint. Also comes with a gorgeous eyeliner and creamy lip gloss pencil.
Bought this on the strength of other reviews. Knew it was good value but was unsure about the colours. Need not have worried. They are all gorgeous and very wearable.
Bright and beautiful
great shades and colours, highly recommend to all. An excellent buy.
I have a quite a few of the Urban Decay Limited palettes and this is one of the best so far. I love that it comes with a small purple eye liner and saturated lip gloss. The lip gloss looks more apricot in the picture but is a little more on the nude side in relaity. Not a problem as it's still a gorgeous colour with high sheen and feels lovely on my sensitive lips. The eye colours are highly pigmented and a great choice of colours. There is a little card inside which tells you how to use all the colours for maximum effect. I am not the same colouring as Michelle Williams (whose character this palette is based on) - I'm olive skinned with dark hair, but I didn't fancy the other choice of palette. So this palette also suits those with darker features. I'm sure it would look amazing on those with very dark skin too.
I'm so pleased I ordered this! There are 6 full size shadows (8 colours as 2 are duos), a full size super saturated gloss pencil and a generous 0.8g travel eyeliner pencil. The set comes in a pretty steel tin with a mirror in the lid. The eyeshadows all pop out so you can replace them when finished or swap shades around.
The eyeshadows are excellent quality, all easy to blend and build up. My favourite is called Aura which has 2 shimmery white shadows in one pan, one which has an iridescent pink shimmer and one that has an iridescent blue shimmer. They are lovely tear duct/inner eye highlighters. Unlike some sets where I only use 2 or 3 colours, I can see myself making use of all of them.
The eye pencil is a deep purple/maroon colour which blends very easily. The only slight downside is the shade of the lip gloss pencil. I was expecting it to be a bit more pink but it's more of a nude/neutral.
This is well worth every penny and I'm really pleased with my purchase :)
Great colour combinations
I received this as a present & it has been wonderful! Beautiful packaging and the tin is easy to keep clean, which I like. I have fair hair & skin tone so often darker shades can look too much on me but this is just perfect. The quality is brill & you can try lots of different combinations. Also love the duo shades, especially Oz because it's sparkly so good for a night out but isn't too harsh against my pale skin tone and the two shades I would never have thought to put together but they look amazing! Overall, it's great!
Very natural, bright, and girly
Yeah, like every one else, I just purchased this product because it is UD limited edition. I have always been a fan of UD and an avid collector. But honestly, I rarely wear make up as I work in the hospital which touching up doesn't really have a place. So when I go out, I always take the chance to experiment on my palettes. And this one offers a fun mixture of colours. The packaging is awesome and very heavenly too. I like the size of the mirror too. I just don't like that it doesn't fit my YSL make up purse as it is too big to be a make-up-in-a-purse type of thing. And I don't know why the lip stick doesn't have a place inside the tin but the eye liner does? Anyway, that's how UD does it anyway to most of their eye palettes. Another down side is the Magic shade (pink) which is not as pigmented as the rest of the UD palettes. It doesn't last that long either. All the other shades do though. And because the palette is meant to be light and natural, you'll have to top it up to use it for a night out, else it wouldn't really be that obvious. Another thing that I don't like about it is the shade of the lip stick which is quite a dark nude and makes me look more mature than my age. The picture looks as if the nude color of the lips has a bit of pink tone which kinda disappointed me. Over all, I still am happy with my purchase as most of my UD palettes are alreasy dark and bright shades, this will be my option on a very light, casual day out ;)
Best palette I have ever seen/used
As a huge fan of Wizard of Oz and being VERY excited for the new film I just had to pick this up, the colours are very unique, as I'm a makeup artist I have tons of eyeshadows and have nothing similar to the ones in this palette they are so pretty and look incredible on.
