'Grand Hotel Cafe' gift set is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pigmentation low or similar to others The pigmentation for the gingerbread palette was very bad I'm talking nikkitutorials palette kind of pigmentation. The shades in the others palettes are very similar or identical to shades in other too faced palettes. Also it's very small in picture it seems rather large but it's a little bigger than hand size. I'd save your money and get the merry macaroons palette or any other too faced palette with a large shade range.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous and great value for money. Bought this set for my daughter for Christmas. We both love Too Faced makeup and this is excellent value for money and smells amazing. Can't wait to see her face on Christmas Day .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic holiday set. Great value for money with three mini detachable palettes, lovely shades, the transition shades are slightly similar but each one has something unique and there is great variety here. Very blendable and I always apply shimmer shades with my fingers so no trouble there. I previously hated the 'Better than S*x' mascara but this mini is quite good so I might have got an out of date dud in the past. I do however have very awkward eyelashes that refuse to curl and flatten instantly, this mascara doesn't change that but does look nice anyway. Overall, fantastic value for money and I highly reccomend this set if you're looking for a Christmas palette.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not Just For Christmas I have been waiting for this collection since I saw it in August and it is worth the wait. It contains 3 separate palettes, each with their own colour theme and fragrance. All palettes are great for day time or evening looks. The fragrances are subtle and not irritating. I'm impressed with the quality of the eyeshadows and the 2 blushes and bronzer. I've used all the palettes and really liked the results. The 3 palettes all work well together too. The mascara is very good for volume but I find the brush too big and a bit awkward. The packaging is wonderful and looks great on my dressing table. Its very pretty and would be a very welcome gift.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely beautiful! I love this Christmas edition to the too faced collection! Beautiful packaging and the palettes smell gorgeous and have great pigmentation. The deluxe mascara sample is fab! It makes your lashes longer and fuller but no clumps! I'll definitely be purchasing the full version!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Make mine a Mocha... I love the colour combination used - very wearable shades, and they all work well together. The scented-with-the-coffee-the-palette-is-named-after shadows come in a nice mix of matte, shimmers & more poppy metallics, the formula is nicely pigmented in the vast majority of product and the shadows apply and wear well. I always expect Too Faced's card packaged shadow palettes to be of a slightly lower quality than their tin ones, so I can't really complain that several of the lighter shadows in the mix need a bit of building, there are no total duds though - you just need to spend a bit of time working on them, rather then brush on and go. The three satin cheek products surprised me with their high quality - I've never been a fan of Too Faced's cheek products before so didn't expect much here, but I've been reaching for them every other day The colour schemes in each smaller palette are fantastic, although you can of course mix and match; Gingerbread Cookie has four matte neutrals (one of them has a tiny hint of shimmer), a metallic gold, a metallic pinky taupe, and a light bronzer. Eggnog Latte has two matte neutrals, a pale shimmery gold, light/medium shimmery brown, a medium/dark shimmery green, a hard-to-describe gold/silver/taupe metallic, and a peachy pink blush. Peppermint Mocha has three mattes (one has a teensy bit of shimmer), a shimmery champagne, a medium shimmery brown, a shimmery plum, and a pink blush. I think the shade selections make a good all year round palette - nothing shouts "I'm a Christmas product" here. My neutral skin can lean a bit towards the cooler side, but I find the warmer colours still look nice on. My only real issue is how a few of the shades look similar; I get that if you are traveling with one palette or have split Grande Hotel into three presents, you'll need a base and crease/transition shade in each segment, but when I'm at home considering what to put on several shades do look very similar. _ I do have both palettes available, so I can now compare them; I ordered the Grande Hotel Cafe as soon as it was added to the site, and I was just going to stick with that one, but the packaging and theme screamed "buy me now" when I saw the Merry Macarons palette in-store. I do think that the Merry Macarons one is the best in terms of shadow quality, but that palette has no cheek products in like this, and there are six more eyeshadows in this palette in comparison to Merry Macarons. Plus the way that Grand Hotel Cafe is split down into three separate segments with six of the most highly coordinated eyeshadow shades together with a complimentary cheek product, makes it extra easy to put together looks using the most complimentary shade options. When I sat down to review this I thought I'd just recommend Merry Macarons and that would be it, but now I'm really looking at things I've realised that Grande Hotel Cafe has very strong pluses that the other palette doesn't have. If you are looking at just eyeshadows in more 'everyday' shades and finishes my first pick is Merry Macarons as every shade in that palette is great and doesn't need the extra time building them up like this, but if you want a mix of eye and cheek products, fancy trying a few metallic shades, are new to eyeshadow so want a helping hand with selecting shades that work really well together, or are looking for a attractive gift, then Grand Hotel Cafe is worth the splurge.
