Rated 4 out of 5Â by StevieB Great for Kids and wooden floors
Bought for my 3 year old son's Christmas present - he's stated it's his favourite present so that says a lot about a 3 year old's perspective.
It's sturdy enough and has 4 'semi-inflated' rubberised tyres with some 'active suspension' which adsorbs the impact of the downward pressure whilst he's pushing it around the living room floor.
As mentioned in another review, he can turn the steering wheel in the cabin to change direction and there are 2 'sound' buttons to warn us when he's starting his engine or reversing.
OK it's not made in Britain and comes from China but it's a good quality toy and comes with 3 AAA batteries(so ignore the 'requires 3 x AAA batteries' comment in the item description.

Our 5 and 2 year olds never tire of this! They put their hand in the back window to steer - don't think the details tell you that. Very well built & realistic - at this price its an absolute bargain! One of the best toys we've bought...
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Legislation
From 1st July 2007, all retailers of electrical goods must comply with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) legislation.
This is a scheme to prevent all such waste being disposed of in general landfill sites and to promote recycling of components and materials. The legislation aims to minimise the impact of electrical and electronic equipment on the environment by creating products with recycling in mind and encouraging reuse, recycling, and recovery of WEEE.
How do I know what product is "WEEE"? The definition of a WEEE product is one whose primary function is dependent on electrical currents to carry out the main function, e.g. a toaster. However, some product, such as a child’s soft toy with an electric circuit, is not classed as WEEE as its primary function is a toy. For further details on product definitions, please click here.
You may also take the item(s) to your local authority Civic Amenity Site if this is more convenient.
