Goose feather & down 4.5 tog duvet
Warm enough even on cold nights, very cozy
We tried this duvee on a bed where we were guest, it was so cosy we bought one. Even with a low tog rating it is plenty warm enough and very cosy.
Good price too.
Not in stock at local store but bought it on click and collect with no problem
Love this duvet!!
I'd been looking for a lightweight feather/down duvet for a while as a summer alternative to my 10tog winter one.
Initially when I opened the box I was disappointed with just how thin it was. I aired it for a few hours and shook it up; still quite thin. Yet when I put it on the bed it felt perfect, just the right amount of warmth and weight to feel snuggly yet not too hot.
Recently the temperature has been 1degree Celsius at night yet with a fleece blanket on top the temperature is perfect!! Bearing in mind I am a total wuss when it comes to the cold!!
The price in comparison to other inferior quality duvets was very reasonable too...:)
Quite a snuggle
I have not experienced a feather/down quilt before. It does have a bit of a rustle when you first get in.
I have only ever used a 4.5 tog polyester quilt as I find this warm enough for me. This quilt was just as warm and snugly.
My husband and I are delighted with this duvet.
It is NOT noisy and it is NOT like a giant crisp packet!
I recommend you shake it out vigourously and leave it hanging over a banister rail (or similar) for a week before you use it.
Excellent price in the sale and superb for the warmer months.
Good extra layer
Bought as an extra layer to existing quilt for extra winter warmth. My son seems very happy with it.
absolutely awful duvet
I couldn't agree with Bammas husband more, this duvet is like sleeping under a giant crisp packet, deeply dissatisfied, especially considering the cost of this product.
Very noisy duvet.
The duvet is nice and light and lies against the body well. The cover is described as 100% cotton but it makes a very loud crackling sound when anyone moves - loud enough to wake someone up. My husband said it was like sleeping inside a crisp packet. We tried for 2 nights but I have now put our old duvet back on the bed and will be returning this one.
I have not used this particular quilt but I already have one and it is very good (we actually use this 4.5 tog quilt almost all year). I bought a second for the sofa bed, the old one has a man-made quilt filling which is very bulky to store; this Debenhams Goose Down and Feather quilt is very light and compact which makes storing a doddle and, of course, it is a very good price. Also it is machine washable and it fits in my washing machine
