Rated 1 out of 5Â by Turnberry3 A good replica of a GPO 746 but let down by poor build quality
This is a good replica of the old GPO 746 model (despite a previous comment), so looks the part, and has a proper bell, which is great and gives it a good weight. a rotary dial too (just like the old days!), however it's seems to be let down by poor build quality. I had 2 that were faulty straight out of the box...
Rated 4 out of 5Â by GPO Guy Good telephone, however not GPO
These telephones are not bad quality for modern replica telephones, however please be aware they are based on an American 500 series telephone and don't look anything like a British 746 telephone.
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Legislation
From 1st July 2007, all retailers of electrical goods must comply with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) legislation.
This is a scheme to prevent all such waste being disposed of in general landfill sites and to promote recycling of components and materials. The legislation aims to minimise the impact of electrical and electronic equipment on the environment by creating products with recycling in mind and encouraging reuse, recycling, and recovery of WEEE.
How do I know what product is "WEEE"? The definition of a WEEE product is one whose primary function is dependent on electrical currents to carry out the main function, e.g. a toaster. However, some product, such as a child’s soft toy with an electric circuit, is not classed as WEEE as its primary function is a toy. For further details on product definitions, please click here.
You may also take the item(s) to your local authority Civic Amenity Site if this is more convenient.
