Many apartments are confined in size these days, and this product will fit in many smallish bedroom areas, while still holding a fair amount.
It arrives in two very heavy wooden cartons. The deliverymen told me it would take 40 minutes to assemble - this is not so. I worked on it over two evenings - admittedly working alone. Iâm not an expert at these sort of jobs, but meticulously follow instructions and use an electric screw driver. You need free space because the first section must be laid on it's side and I considered lifting the bed, but fortunately by leaving the bedroom door open I was able to begin. If you have erected other products you will be familiar with the procedure (and I'm not sure these days how much you have to spend to get away from self-assembly). There are many packs of screws, dowels, bolts, handles, etc., with instructions and a pictorial list of components (which later proved essential). You could panic somewhat as assembly begins, since this is not a cheap wardrobe and to damage it is a possibility, even exercising care. As with all of these style of assemblies, if I had to do it again it would be a breeze, but there are snags first time that you need to think your way through. Where you will see a difference between other self assembly products and this one is the quality and weight of the wood . The panels are heavy and slot together well.
I'll warn you - the screws are at one point wrongly labelled - if you follow the instructions the screws marked for the top are too short to attach it. Referring to the pictorial sheet detailing the screws provided, it is obvious however which screws you need to use. Lifting the wardrobe from horizontal to vertical is a task - I did it alone but shouldn't have - you could put your back out. Attaching the doors is easy, as is their adjustment. However, the doors do represent the only design flaw - they are too light. I don't know why a piece of furniture of reasonable and sturdy quality should be let down by such light doors.
As I said, this wardrobe is a good size for a smallish bedroom, the colour is good, the wood top is a nice feature â overall, once assembled it looks well.
