I used the previous version of Braun's series 3 and was very happy with the results. I purchased this new version after sadly leaving the old one in a hotel room, but I am glad to say it is every bit it's predecessor and more. As well as continuing the close shave (I have black hair and need to be clean shaven for work) to good effect, the self cleaning bath is great. Although I have only used the self clean twice, it seems a great idea and will hopefully prolong the life of the razor and extend the efficiency of the blades.
It comes with a handy travel pouch and brush, self clean charge or standard charge options and can be operated from mains or its battery.
The only negative is the self charge is noisy, but because it doesn't take long to charge, this is no big problem at all. I just don't charge on self clean at night!
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Legislation
From 1st July 2007, all retailers of electrical goods must comply with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) legislation.
This is a scheme to prevent all such waste being disposed of in general landfill sites and to promote recycling of components and materials. The legislation aims to minimise the impact of electrical and electronic equipment on the environment by creating products with recycling in mind and encouraging reuse, recycling, and recovery of WEEE.
How do I know what product is "WEEE"? The definition of a WEEE product is one whose primary function is dependent on electrical currents to carry out the main function, e.g. a toaster. However, some product, such as a child’s soft toy with an electric circuit, is not classed as WEEE as its primary function is a toy. For further details on product definitions, please click here.
You may also take the item(s) to your local authority Civic Amenity Site if this is more convenient.
