Rated 5 out of 5Â by Sue Pontefract Stylish Toaster
Bought as part of a kettle/toaster set. It is a very stylish addition to my kitchen, is easy to use and very practical. It was a good price compared to other stores.

After reading a few negatives I still decided to take the plunge, relying on the brand name.
Only 2 weeks after purchase and with normal use, the left hand pop up function failed. It wouldn't pop up when done and also the button to manually activate the pop up wouldn't work
I returned the toaster to a local store and they offered to replace it
I did replace it with the same model as we had a matching kettle, however I am now waiting with fingers crossed and receipt at the ready just in case
Other than that it looks good and toasts nice, especially the bagel function which is good for tea cakes & hot cross buns
Overall rating would have been one star higher if it hadn't failed so soon after purchase
Rated 5 out of 5Â by SuzyQ44 Lovely colour
Lovely retro look and the colour is perfect. I was looking for cream to go with my kitchen, but the Dualit cream was quite strong, whereas the canvas White is more like an ivory than a true bright white and looks really great. Only downside is that I think the price is quite high.

This is the second review. (It would have been nice to be able to add to the first review.) Recently, the Dualit has been shorting out our electricity. This has happened four times. At the moment, it is unplugged and sitting in a corner of the kitchen. Today I return it. If the store or the company won't have it, I'll throw it out. I, too, was taken in by the beautiful looks. However, a toaster should toast without crashing the electricity.
Rated 5 out of 5Â by Supa39 Great all round and great looking toaster
I also bought the sandwich cages to go with this toaster as I love ham and cheese toasties
Have not tried bagels as I don't eat them, once you figure out which setting suits your taste, this is a cracking toaster
Rated 2 out of 5Â by Wintercrow Not Worth The Money
I always wanted a Dualit and when our last toaster gave up the ghost, I splurged. The Dualit functions okay, nothing spectacular, with features and build quality you can get with a much less expensive toaster. The real let down, however, is the crumb tray. We prefer toasted wheaten bread, but it tends to be crumbly. Recently, we had a problem in which a few large crumbs fell to the bottom: never a problem with our previous cheap toaster. But the crumb tray on this Dualit is so narrow that we literally had to take knitting needles to break up the crumbs before we could get them out. Time spend 45 minutes for a two minute job. Come on Dualit, you know better, you can do better.
Rated 4 out of 5Â by Antigua 2012 Love the style but some of the joinery between parts could be better.
Love the style of this toaster. This is the third toaster I have bought (and returned two) because of the poor joinery e.g. Gaps between the white and chrome parts of the toaster. We haven't used it much to date, but at the moment the knob gets stuck half way instead of moving back to the top when the toasting gas been completed. If this continues we will return the item. It does look great though in our new kitchen.
