At last, after many years of promising myself a KA, I finally took the plunge when it was advertised at a discount!
I do a fair amount of baking, and for the first time I was able to bake a fatless sponge cake without having to stand for ages holding my hand mixer waiting for the sugar and egg mixture to stiffen sufficiently before folding in the flour! This time it was a doddle as the KA did all the work for me! The fatless sponge, once baked, was as light as a feather! Fantastic.
Pavlovas are terrific and whipping cream takes no time at all.
Needless to say - I'm delighted!

Love to bake but love it even more now with this fabulous mixer! Such a time saver with amazing results, looks great and very neat.
Rated 4 out of 5Â by Fred Debenham's product description contains a lie.
"This 'Almond Cream' food mixer from KitchenAid boasts a direct drive motor which is silent, reliable and ......"
Silent it isn't. In fact it's the noisiest food mixer I have ever used.
Sounds like cement mixer.
I checked around, went to other shops, listened to them all. They were all very noisy.
So Debenham's, how can your description say it's motor is silent?
Other than that it's fine.
Rated 5 out of 5Â by Susan A big investment - but worth it
I've had my cream KitchenAid mixer for over a year now, purchased online. No, you won't find much discount on these, and yes the price is jaw-dropping, BUT it is worth it. Try to think in terms of value for money and price per use and longevity and quality, and you will find it unbeatable. It looks good and it works beautifully, every time. The great thing is, you can set it going (say beating together your butter and sugar) whilst you stir something else, or weigh out ingredients. It is also a thing of beauty on your worktop. Pay the money and then enjoy it. that's my advice.

Unfortunately I had to return our first mixer as it broke inside 12 months. However, Debenhams were excellent and replaced it with a brand new one so hopefully this will not have any problems. It makes great bread and cakes and looks wonderful on the work top.
Rated 5 out of 5Â by annabelle121 Absolutely love the mixer & great customer service!
This was a 30th birthday present and I love it- although it is expensive it really looks the business on my kitchen work surface! Only used a handful of times but I have enjoyed using it.
I was impressed with Debenham's customer service and thought they deserved some good feedback. My partner bought this well in advance of my birthday and when I received it, I actually really wanted to change the colour, however it was outside the 28 day returns period. We took it back to one of the stores and they exchanged it quibble free and even honoured the promotional discount that had been running on the item when first bought. They didn't have the cream one in stock but arranged for it to be sent to my home address and I received it within a couple of days! Very happy and would buy more from Debenhams in the future.

After years of longing and watching Nigella and co making fantastic recipes I too am now the proud owner of a Kitchenaid. In fact my son has taken a photo of it and used it as my screen saver (a little extreme I know). However, it is a beautiful piece of machinery and makes the most excellent cakes. A worthy investment for any keen cook and looks totally outstanding in any kitchen.
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Legislation
From 1st July 2007, all retailers of electrical goods must comply with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) legislation.
This is a scheme to prevent all such waste being disposed of in general landfill sites and to promote recycling of components and materials. The legislation aims to minimise the impact of electrical and electronic equipment on the environment by creating products with recycling in mind and encouraging reuse, recycling, and recovery of WEEE.
How do I know what product is "WEEE"? The definition of a WEEE product is one whose primary function is dependent on electrical currents to carry out the main function, e.g. a toaster. However, some product, such as a child’s soft toy with an electric circuit, is not classed as WEEE as its primary function is a toy. For further details on product definitions, please click here.
