Black traditional espresso coffee machine XP5210
This coffee machine gives the high street coffee serious competition!
I bought this for my husband for a special birthday present - although we do not drink espresso, we both enjoy a latte in many high street chains! The product is sturdy and easy to use. We use ground coffee. This coffee machine can also be used with espresso pods. The steam nozzle is excellent for frothing milk for latte and cappuccino - I also bought a small stainless steel jug (on a previous customer's recommendation). The latte tastes as good as any coffee you can buy on the high street. I did a lot of research online before making a decision and chose this product because of the positive reviews. My husband and I are really impressed.
Quite simply Brilliant !
I bought the Krups XP5210 as an upgrade from a base model De Longhi espresso machine. Although the De Longhi was a good machine, the krups was a revelation. It makes wonderfully strong espresso, and the frother makes silky smooth crema. It is easy to use, the auto tamping feature takes all the guess work out of tamping the ground coffee and it is built solidly to a very high standard. All in all I am delighted with this product, I would recommend it very highly !
Very please with purchase
Very please with my new purchase. Have researched many coffee machines and this came out as one of the best and it certainly lives up to my expectations.
It is very well built and easy to use. I can now make lovely latte's in no time at all. The frother is most impressive and have not had any difficulty with it.
Easy to use and easy to clean
I have found this product very easy to use and produces a good cup of coffee every time. When finished all parts are easy to clean. I wouldn't be without it now!!
Makes very very weak coffee. Undrinkably weak in my opinion.
Having had a Krups 967/B coffee machine for 10 years that was neat and compact and made the most wonderful coffee, I opted for this Krups as a successor. What a disappointment!! The coffee it makes (from the same ground coffee I used previously, Illy) is very weak - in my opinion, tastes like dishwater. The product description makes a feature of the fact that the water passes through the machine quickly which reduces limescale build-up; however, the consequence is coffee that has not been adequately filtered and is disappointingly weak. In addition, the large water holder means that the machine does not stop making coffee when your mug/cup is full (which the 967/B model did); one has to stand over it to switch it off at the appropriate time. Finally, the design of my kitchen means that I need to pull the machine out on the kitchen counter every time I use it; however, the little rubber feet of the legs have not been properly attached and fall out each time, so that I need to fit them back in - drives me nuts! Wish I'd never bought it.
Excellent Quality, Style & Build
Does exactly what it should do, simply
Krups or not?
I read the reviews before I bought this. There was some slightly negative feedback, but for its proce and what it is it does an excellent job. It is not any more noisier than you would expect it to be, especially if you read the manual and understand the reasons behind the functions. It looks good, and is very simple to use.
As good as our last
Krups simply makes the best espresso makers. Our last served as well and this one is even better. Simple, easy-to-ease and makes a fantastic shot of espresso. Highly recommended over other brands which seemed flimsy in comparison.
