Rated 4 out of 5Â by Copie Just what I wanted
As I already have two Pure radios, when I needed a replacement for my clock radio I naturally turned to Pure. It is an excellent product with just one problem. Because of the facility to match the display light to its surroundings the time is barely visible at night. There seems no answer to this and I may be forced to keep a torch under my pillow!

Having a DAB stereo unit there are several stations I listen to regularly but when in bed I needed a DAB portable. Excellent radio with just one fault. The clock is not bright enough to see without pressing the button down. Which means getting out of bed.

The clock is as described and was delivered really quickly. I found it easy to set up and it looks cool. However, what happens when there is a power cut as there is no back-up battery? I overlooked this when making my choice. Just wanted prospective buyers to be aware. Would have given 5 stars otherwise.
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Legislation
From 1st July 2007, all retailers of electrical goods must comply with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) legislation.
This is a scheme to prevent all such waste being disposed of in general landfill sites and to promote recycling of components and materials. The legislation aims to minimise the impact of electrical and electronic equipment on the environment by creating products with recycling in mind and encouraging reuse, recycling, and recovery of WEEE.
How do I know what product is "WEEE"? The definition of a WEEE product is one whose primary function is dependent on electrical currents to carry out the main function, e.g. a toaster. However, some product, such as a child’s soft toy with an electric circuit, is not classed as WEEE as its primary function is a toy. For further details on product definitions, please click here.
You may also take the item(s) to your local authority Civic Amenity Site if this is more convenient.
