Having spent the best part of 5 days looking for a whistling kettle with a retro design to replace my recently expired-and practically new-electric kettle,I was delighted to find this prestige model on Debenhams' website.
It is solid and easy to hold, with a well insulated handle and the whistle is a pleasing alternative to the gurgle of an electric kettle.
The enamel coating is what decided me to buy it,together with the rounded shape and generous capacity.
Prestige also offer a ten year guarantee.
Well worth the money.

excellent product, fair price, reasonable service. service only reasonable as the wait for it to be in the shop for collection was longer than I anticipated.
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Legislation
From 1st July 2007, all retailers of electrical goods must comply with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) legislation.
This is a scheme to prevent all such waste being disposed of in general landfill sites and to promote recycling of components and materials. The legislation aims to minimise the impact of electrical and electronic equipment on the environment by creating products with recycling in mind and encouraging reuse, recycling, and recovery of WEEE.
How do I know what product is "WEEE"? The definition of a WEEE product is one whose primary function is dependent on electrical currents to carry out the main function, e.g. a toaster. However, some product, such as a child’s soft toy with an electric circuit, is not classed as WEEE as its primary function is a toy. For further details on product definitions, please click here.
You may also take the item(s) to your local authority Civic Amenity Site if this is more convenient.
