Very pleased with the colour and price in the sale. They are not as thick as I expected but wipe clean easily and appear with a thinish cork backing to absorb heat. I would not have bought at full price.

I ordered these because of the colours which were absolutely right for the scheme I was putting together. I assumed the 'Denby' logo was on the packaging and was very disappointed that the logo was actually on the mats themselves. Why would I want my guests to know the manufacturers name? Bizarre! Not surprisingly they were returned.

Bough these, not inexpensive placemats in-store thinking they were a quality brand. First, the logo looks like it's printed on the clear plastic box when in fact it's on all the placemats. Apart from Denby fanatics, who wants that? Second, despite their name on it the quality is awful. These replaced mats made by a different company (the Sir name of literary character Scarlet-) which lasted for years. These mats practically fell apart within a couple of months, with pitted surfaces, chips and just plain wearing out on the surface, despite light use.
I'm shocked Debenhams are still selling these - be warned, they are useless and not fit for purpose.

Lovely colour, matt surface, fairly hard to keep clean , not a shiny surface so mark fairly easily from Chinese cartons etc

Bought these mats in the sale a few months ago and look like we've had them for years. They are scraped and stained and do not simply wipe clean as suggested, because they look worse every time you use them! The horrible 'denby' logo in the corner doesn't help either, very tacky. Such a shame as you would usually associate denby with decent quality.

I was given two sets of these as a present. The giver hadn't realised that the Denby name was actually on the tablemat and not simply on the packaging. This detracted from the mat as far as I am concerned, quite considerably. I have been subjecting them to normal usage over the past six or seven weeks, and I do not have small children or pets to abuse them. They are showing a lot of signs of wear, with the surface being stained with grease and also showing through white in places. I don't think the mats are very good quality and I do not think they are value for money and therefore I would not recommend them to anyone.
