Tripp Lite 4-Wheel Large Suitcase Grape
Split on our first trip using our new large suitcase
We have bought a medium and two large size suitcases in this range. the medium case we have used many times ,we have been really pleased with its handling and size. However we have just returned from a trip to OZ, NZ and Maylaysia and it was a complete disaster . On collecting our case from the carousel we found one of the wheels completely caved in which split the case. We were on a smal island and we were worried whether we would we be able to buy a new case ,or would the case hold out for two flights to get back to the U.K Fortunately Malaysian airways were able to replace our case so we could get home. I have now lost trust in this baggage , surely it should of been tested to withstand any drops or mishandling.
Thrilled to bits
After a couple of years of wanting to upgrade our luggage, plenty of research and reading the reviews I settled on purchasing 2 large suitcases and the cabin case for our trip to America early this year. I waited before submitting this review to give my feedback once we returned from our first trip out with them.
Both suitcases managed 5 internal flights and 2 long haul flights and bar a couple of scuffs managed the entire trip perfectly. The suitcases look increadibly smart pushing them around the airport and hotels on their 4 wheels, although the kids took that glory whilst we dragged a couple of our old suitcases. The clothes inside all remained perfectly packed which was particularly important as we were attending a wedding as part of the trip and had all our wedding outfits, bridesmaid dress included in the cases. The suitcases did take a couple of scuffs which was a shame but think if you buying a hard case this is to be expected. The good thing is the case has some flexibility to it so possibly takes the knocks better than a very hard suitcase.
I am absolutely thrilled and I will be coming back to buy 2 medium cases so I have a full set. My parents were on the trip too and envied our stylish suitcases so think they will be purchasing a set too. No more old 2 wheelers....highly recommended!!!
The wheels are great.
The 4 wheels are very smooth and the single handle feels very sturdy. It's easy to manoeuvre and you can fit lots in. I feel reassured by the 5 year guarantee.
Excellent all rounder
Gorgeous suitcase, very light, brillant mobility no more dragging the suitcase throught the airport... Can fit soo much in it! Great buy
Bought this from debenhams store in harrow-my first suitcase with 4 wheels-wasn't sure whether they will last or broken down during luggage shifting in airports. Must say been great. Much easier to move as compared to 2 wheels. Light weight and strong, which helps as i travel to some off worst airports in world. My experience with tripp has been for 4 years and they havnt let me down.
Suitcase with style
While I was wheeling our newly purchased set of Tripp's back to the car I was stopped by a lady who just had to find out where we had purchased our suitcase from (the other two hiding inside the big Tripp) she was so impressed with the 4 wheel action, glide effect and look. Wow I thought I'd never brought anything before that had such an impact. I spent the next hour happily gliding around the shopping centre and never bothered rushing back to the car but completed my shopping very content with my new Tripp.
Good value for money
A very good size luggage and definitely a best buy! Very good value for money. I haven't used it yet, but i must say it certainly looks durable, stylish and elegant. Highly recommended!!!
high rated luggage
Tripp have pulled out the stops this time around, colour easy to single out and in colour at the moment. hard exterior but with zipped opener with lockable openers, this zipped area is good because unlike the last hard expensive case the locks broke with excessive handling at airports, the zips give monoverability as not to break, and with opening down centre, two equal parts for clothes and zipped area for one side, thank-you Tripp for a truly great design.
