Hand blown hanging glass friendship diamond in pearl white, nude and gold shimmer colour glass. The friendship globe is approximately 12cm tall and 10cm wide and comes gift wrapped in a box and with a hanging ribbon. As they are handmade each piece is unique and may differ from the one in the photograph. Giving a Friendship globe is an old English custom, given as a token of friendship or good luck. They look beautiful hanging in a window or the garden. Amelia Art Glass' products are mouth-blown and hand-decorated using traditional methods, making each piece truly unique. No two items are exactly the same, adding character and charm to every design. Traditionally, these globes and shapes were made at the end of a glassblower’s shift to use up the remaining molten glass in the furnace. Dating back to the 12th century, these handmade art pieces were given as tokens of friendship and good luck.
