Far from the gentle, innocent garden bloom of the same name, Rose in Wonderland is an ultra-magnified super rose that is earthy, but not of this earth. Created by perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin, it is an astonishing reconstruction of rose that magnifies each facet of the iconic flower.
Scent
The rose's thorny green stem is interpreted in the fragrance's verdant structure of blackcurrant buds at the top, geranium essence in the heart and vetiver in the dry-down. The scent also changes from a delicate, luminous rose dew accord at the top to the sombre and voluptuous honey tobacco accents of the unique Centifolia Rose in the heart, before base notes of velvety white musk and crystal amber round out the fragrance's fatal floral character.
