To fit to the reverse of the gate please attach with wood screws (not included) on the bracing. If desired a padlock (not included) can be fitted to prevent the bolt from being released by unauthorised persons.The bolt and housing is galvanised to prevent rust and supplied in its natural silver colour, however they can be painted with a paint compatible with galvanised metal if you prefer a different colour. The Sliding Bolt is recommended for use with a gate that is being installed with wooden posts and should be attached using wood screws.
