Before first use, wash the pot and rinse all components thoroughly. Fill the lower chamber with water only up to the appropriate fill level; do not cover or block the safety valve. Add finely ground coffee to the filter basket and level it gently. Do not tamp the coffee down. Assemble the pot securely, ensuring the seal and filter are correctly positioned. Place on a suitable hob at a moderate heat. Keep the handle away from direct flames or excessive heat. Remove from the heat once brewing is complete and the upper chamber is filled with coffee. Allow the moka pot to cool before disassembling and cleaning. Empty used coffee grounds and rinse the components with warm water.
