Allow the moka pot to cool completely before cleaning. Disassemble the pot carefully after each use. Rinse the chambers and filter with warm water. Avoid abrasive sponges, scouring pads and harsh cleaning products that may damage the finish. Dry all components thoroughly before reassembling. Periodically check the filter, gasket and safety valve for coffee residue or blockages. Replace the gasket when it becomes worn, damaged or no longer seals correctly. Do not operate the pot without sufficient water in the lower chamber.
