Our Green-n-Learn Tactile Shells is a hands-on learning set designed to help children explore early concepts through play. Encourage children to use their hands to identify the shell tactility by feeling them. Sensory Memory Game: Create pairs of tactile shells with similar textures. Place them face down and play a memory game where children take turns flipping two shells to find matching pairs by touch alone. Texture Exploration Art: Dip the shells in paint or ink and use them as stamps to create textured art. Encourage kids to experiment with different textures and colours. Tactile Memory Tray: Place a selection of tactile shells on a tray, let children explore and memorise their textures, and then cover the tray and have them try to recall the textures they felt. Counting Collections: Scatter the shells and ask children to count them in various ways (e.g., counting all, counting by twos, counting by fives). This game can be adapted for different skill levels. Number Bonds: Have children create number bonds using the shells to illustrate addition and subtraction relationships.
