Step One: The lock should be fitted to the door or gate once it has been hung and all necessary adjustments have been made. The lock body should be mounted inside (secure side) of the gate, with just the barrel showing outside - to prevent any tampering with the lock Step Two: Work out the position the lock should be mounted and mark the center of the barrel position on the gate accordingly. The lock must be mounted with the cam holes in the bar facing downwards to avoid water ingress. The lock body should be no less 5mm from the edges of the gate and obviously the throw of the lock needs to reach across to secure the gate. Also Check on the other side of the gate to ensure the hole is in a suitable position.
