By reducing the weight of the focus lens group, for example, a stepping motor can be used for fast, near-silent focusing. Breathing has also been minimized, allowing multiple frames of the same scene to be taken at different focusing points, then seamlessly combined in post-production for ultimate sharpness. Rugged design This lens has a rugged, weather-resistant design to cope with all conditions. 12 seals protect the lens from dust, moisture and low temperatures down to -10°C (14°F), plus the flourine-coated front element repels water, fingerprints, and dust making it easier to clean.
