These insulators screw in to wooden fence posts and will hold electric fence tape up to 40mm diameter. Being screw IN rather than screw ON insulators, they have a couple of wide bearing rings to ensure rapid drying so your fence will be well insulated even when it's raining heavily. When the tape is slotted into place, the outer part of the insulator is pushed towards the tape and clipped shut, holding the tape securely in place. When in locked in position the clip is very hard to knock loose and even if that does happen it will not get lost as it's physically connected to the insulator. The tape is held firmly but gently by the spring of the plastic so there will be no damage to either the tape or it's conductors.
