Silence Is Priceless has the kind of shadowy, half-seen character that makes a post-rock record feel genuinely uncanny. Helen Island work with repetition, texture and unease rather than big obvious peaks, so the album keeps unfolding in strange little pockets - Me & Who?, Ghost Guns and Stalker Guardian Angel all leave a mark, while the run through Feeling The Sun, It's Lit! to Gore Lore closes things in properly haunted fashion. It is experimental, but never cold, and the sequencing gives the whole LP a real pull.SIDE ONE:1. Me & Who?2. Hot Zone Regular Day3. Fame Gang4. Ghost Guns5. Invincibl6. Forever Starts Today7.
