The heavy armoured car Sd. Car 232 (Heavy Armoured Car) was used by units of the Wehrmacht in the mid-thirties. Efficient guidance of reconnects and radio connections between units was an essential feature of the fast military operations called "Lightning War". The armoured car Sd.Kfz. 232 was a key component to meet this requirement. The mobility of the six-wheel vehicle, both on the road and off-road, has been complemented by improved radio equipment that is both short and long range. The armoured vehicle was equipped with a voluminous antenna frame that was later replaced by a rtical antenna that ensures effective communication between commanders and troops on the battlefield. The tower weapons offered sufficient firepower for both vehicle defence and advanced awareness missions.
