Building for God is written to encourage people who are interested in doing a job for God, despite their felt limitations and no matter what obstacles lie in the road! It will remind us that Nehemiah got people of all kinds to work together and build for God, rather than squabbling about their differences. We, like this servant of the Lord, should keep our focus on the Word of God and prayer, and on using some sanctified common sense. Hopefully, having read this little "primer on spiritual renewal," well listen and respond to Gods challenge through Malachi, Nehemiahs contemporary. Here it is, "Test me in this, says the Lord Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it" (Mal. 310).
