A driver converts mains voltage (240V AC) to 12V DC. Our range of efficient kitchen lights run on a low voltage, this conserves energy without compromising on luminosity. Every light that we sell has a Colour Wattage rating. For example, if you have a light rated at 2.6W and you have 3 of them, your total Colour Wattage consumption would be 7.8W. To put this simply, your drivers Colour Wattage rating must be equal to or greater than 7.8W in order for this to work (pulling through more watts than a driver is rated to will cause the driver to blow). We know that this can sound a little tricky so in order to save you the hassle of working this out, all our light kits include a driver that is specifically designed to work safely and efficiently with your chosen lights. Overview: Our LED plinth lights are perfect for modernising any kitchen, bathroom or any other rooms. They are ideal for skirting boards, kick boards and panels, they create a unique form of lighting. They can also be installed within kitchen cabinets as down lights as pictured above. They are ideal for use in bathrooms and kitchens due to them being Colour IP20 Rated. This plinth kit is finished in stainless steel giving a stylish edge to any room and they produce a natural white lighting beam. These LEDs will last over 20,000 hours, on average they will last 10 years. After this time the bulbs will only reduce in brightness (to 70% of their original luminosity), meaning they will still work. Making this set of LED's environmentally friendly and cost effective. How to mount: These lights are surface mounted and have a strong self-adhesive backing. To put this simply, you do not need any tools to mount our lights. Simply peel back the 3M double sided tape and mount to your chosen surface. (ensure surface is flat and has been cleaned prior to mounting). Then run the cables from the light and plug them directly into the supplied driver. The power converter (driver) can then be connected straight to the mains and controlled via a light switch. It is incredibly simple to install and the unit is supplied with a full set of instructions.
