As these traps have no harm causing aspects they are child & pet safe, preventing any unwanted injuries or poisoning. Place the bait (Peanut butter/chocolate) in the small compartment at one end. Open the gate on the other end of the trap. When the mouse moves to the opposite side of the trap, the mouse's weight triggers the trap, and the gate snaps shut. Once you have the mouse captured, take the entire trap outdoors and lift the food compartment to open the trap.
