The zebra is a herbivorous mammal. It belongs to the family of equines, like horses and donkeys. The zebra measures between 1.20 and 1.50 meters at the withers, for a weight ranging from 175 to 400 kg. The zebra's morphology is adapted to the race. It can run at maximum speeds between 56 and 64 km / h. During their development the zebras gain speed, they often move to search for food. An average zebra lives 25 to 30 years (up to 40 years in a zoo). He has the pace, the speed and the safe hoof peculiar to equines. But, this funny horse unashamedly exhibits his black and white striped dress in the great outdoors of Africa. These animals are characterized by bands of vertical black and white stripes.
