Our Log Dowel Growing Kit is designed for outdoor use for those wishing to grow naturally using their own cut (unseasoned) logs with no signs of damage or other fungal growth, and contains: 30 inoculated timber dowels inside a sterilized plastic grow bag with filter patch, wax, sponge applicator, full set of growing instructions, postage box and branded sleeve. We advise using fresh or recently felled (up to 8 weeks) hardwood logs up to 50cm in length (10-20cm in diameter) such as alder, oak, cherry, beech, birch or chestnut. We recommend avoiding sycamore, soft woods and conifers. Please note that holes will need to be pre-drilled to accommodate the dowels (we recommend an 8.5mm drill bit). Using the dowel method, we deliberately introduce our mushroom mycelium into the body of freshly felled timber, making sure it stands the best chance of success.

Items of homeware including bedlinen, mattresses, and toppers, and pillows must be unused and in their original unopened packaging. This does not affect your statutory rights.
