The locket features a sterling silver oval with an engraved Kintsugi inspired crack down the middle that is filled with gold fill. Kintsugi translated means 'to patch with gold'. It is a Japanese art form in which breaks, and repairs are treated as part of the object's wonderful history. Instead of hiding away the repairs, Kintsugi celebrates them, fills them with gold and turns them into the focal point. Kintsugi isn't about perfection, it is about seeing the beauty in imperfection. Each locket is handmade in 925 Sterling Silver.
