Sought after as a long-lasting alternative to a fresh bouquet, Phalaenopsis 'Boquetto Sensation' is an easy-to-grow moth orchid that produces small, softly coloured blooms for several months, standing around 40cm high including its nursery pot. It thrives in bright, indirect light and high-humidity spaces like kitchens or bathrooms, benefiting from occasional leaf misting in heated rooms. Rather than watering little and often, wait until the specialist compost gets quite dry, then give the roots a thorough 1–2 hour soak in soft, tepid water before letting excess drain away entirely—reducing watering significantly during winter. Aerial roots extending outside the pot are completely natural for absorbing air moisture, so avoid frequent repotting until the plant’s overall growth begins to suffer.
