Regular Maintenance (Every 2-3 Weeks) Clean the Air Filter: A clogged filter reduces efficiency. Turn off and unplug the dehumidifier. Locate the filter cover on the back of the unit. It can typically be unclipped or slid out. Remove the mesh filter. Wash the filter gently using lukewarm water. If it is very dirty, you can use a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to dry completely before placing it back in the unit. Do not use a hairdryer or direct sunlight to dry the filter. Empty and Clean the Water Tank: When the "Tank Full" indicator lights up, the unit will automatically shut off. Carefully slide out the 6.5L water tank. Pour out the collected water. Clean the inside of the tank with a soft cloth and a mild detergent solution to prevent the buildup of mould and bacteria. Rinse well and dry the tank before sliding it back into the dehumidifier until it clicks securely in place. General Care Cleaning the Exterior: Turn off and unplug the unit. Wipe the surface of the dehumidifier with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Placement: For optimal performance, ensure the unit is placed on a level surface with at least 20-30 cm of clear space around its air inlets and outlets to allow for proper airflow. Continuous Drainage: If you are using the continuous drainage hose, periodically check that the hose is not kinked or blocked and that water is flowing freely into your drain. Long-Term Storage If you are not using the dehumidifier for an extended period: Turn off and unplug the unit. Empty and thoroughly clean the water tank and the filter, ensuring both are completely dry. Cover the unit to protect it from dust. Store it in an upright position in a cool, dry place.
