The PureMate Oil Filled Radiator is designed for silent, maintenance-free operation, focusing on safety and simple cleaning. As a sealed unit, it never requires refilling of the thermal oil. Here are the essential details on proper usage and care: Usage and Safety Details Placement: Place the radiator on a horizontal, stable surface. Keep all flammable materials (furniture, curtains, bedding, etc.) at least 3 feet (0.9m) away from all sides of the heater. Do Not Cover: Never cover the heater while it is in use or cooling down, as this will cause overheating and pose a fire risk. Plug Use: Always plug the heater directly into a wall outlet. Avoid using extension cords or relocatable power taps, as this may cause the cord or circuit to overheat. Moving: Use the built-in carry handle and castor wheels to move the unit. Always ensure the unit is turned off and unplugged before moving it. Hot Surfaces: The fins are hot during operation. Use caution and only touch the control panel or handle. The Overheat Protection and Tip-Over Switch are included safety features for worry-free use. Surroundings: Do not use the heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, shower, or swimming pool. Cleaning and Maintenance Cool Down: Before cleaning or moving, always ensure the heater is turned off, unplugged, and has been allowed to cool down completely (this may take 15–30 minutes).
