The main framework uses 28/42mm timber with 20mm slats, giving the set a reassuringly chunky appearance while retaining the natural character of real wood. The substantial construction and traditional slatted design give the set a warm, classic look that works particularly well on patios, decking and larger garden seating areas. Matching green polyester base and back cushions are included for the chairs and benches, adding useful comfort without losing the natural timber look. As with all real wooden garden furniture, periodic cleaning and re-treatment with a suitable exterior wood treatment will help maintain its appearance. Natural grain, knots and small colour variations are normal characteristics of timber.
