Neck protection Thumb loops Longer back Moisture regulating fabric Lightweight design Worn close to the skin, the Basez 2 is designed to lock in warm air and wick away sweat. Designer's words: "The most important garment is the one in contact with the skin. In winter many cyclists (myself included) like to wear thick, light jackets. The problem with these jackets (and winter jackets) is the poor thermal management especially when wet. I've been training as a pro cyclist most of my life wondering why (despite being sponsored by premium clothing brands) I'd end up wet, freezing and uncomfortable after 1 or 2 hours of riding in winter. It seems that no one is designing a baselayer for winter rides. I designed the BASEZ with my own fabrics where the air pockets are trapped by the design of the baselayer. During a cycling trip all parts of the body have a different temperature, humidity and comfort. On the Basez, the chest and front arms are thicker and warmer to protect against the wind. The Basez has a longer back section to cover and insulate the lower back near the saddle." Composition: 75% PES, 20% PA, 5%
