A lawn can become compacted over time, making it harder for air and water to move into the soil around the grass roots. The Handy Towed Plug Aerator provides a practical way to open up larger lawn areas using suitable towing equipment, removing small plugs of soil as you travel. Its 121cm (48") working width covers a broad strip with each pass, while 32 heat-treated coring points penetrate up to 7cm (3") into the ground. As the plugs are removed, they leave channels through the surface layer, helping improve movement of air and water into the soil.A heavy-duty tray allows extra weight to be added when more downward pressure is needed. The single-hand lift lever raises the coring points when moving the aerator between working and transport positions. The aerator uses a 1/2" pin-type tow hitch and requires a tow-hitch height of 14cm to 17cm. Its metal construction has a 42.00kg net weight and assembly is required. Backed by a 2-year machine warranty.
