This is an 8-port 10/100Mbps unmanaged switch that requires no configuration and provides 4 PoE (Power over Ethernet) ports. It can automatically detect and supply power to all IEEE 802.3af compliant Powered Devices (PDs). The electrical power is transmitted along with data in a single cable, allowing you to expand your network to locations where there are no power lines or outlets. You can install devices such as access points, IP cameras, or IP phones with ease. The first four auto-negotiation RJ45 ports support Power over Ethernet function. These PoE ports automatically detect and supply power to IEEE 802.3af compliant Powered Devices. The switch includes an overload protection feature with priority functionality to protect the system when power is overloaded. If all PoE PD power consumption exceeds 57W, a priority arrangement is applied among the PoE ports and the system will cut the power of the lowest-priority port. The priority order is ports 1, 2, and 3 (equal priority) over port 4. For example, if ports 1, 2, and 4 are each using 15.4W (maximum per port) for a total of 46.2W, and an additional device requiring 12W is connected to port 3, the system will cut off power to port 4 due to overload, supplying 15.4W to ports 1 and 2 and 12W to port 3. The switch is easy to install and use with no configuration or complex setup required. With its desktop design and quality construction, it is an ideal choice for expanding home or office networks.
