This is an 8-port 10/100Mbps unmanaged switch that requires no configuration and provides 4 Power over Ethernet (PoE) ports. It automatically detects and supplies power to all IEEE 802.3af compliant Powered Devices (PDs). Electrical power is transmitted along with data in a single cable, allowing you to expand your network to areas without power lines or outlets, and to install devices such as access points, IP cameras, or IP phones. Four of the eight auto-negotiation RJ45 ports support PoE functionality and can automatically detect and supply power to compatible devices. The switch includes an overload protection priority function to protect the system when total PoE power consumption reaches or exceeds 57W. Port priority is arranged as follows: ports 1, 2, and 3 have equal priority, with port 4 as the lowest priority. If total PoE power consumption exceeds 57W, the system will disconnect power from port 4 first. For example, if ports 1, 2, and 4 are each using 15.4W (the maximum per port), totalling 46.2W, and a device requiring 12W is connected to port 3, the system will cut power to port 4 due to the overload, leaving ports 1, 2, and 3 operational. The switch is easy to install and use with its desktop design, requiring no configuration. It is an ideal choice for expanding home or office networks.
