A fascinating fabric with a rich history, the textile tradition began in the 17th century when the first pieces of chintz were brought home as a valuable trade commodity by Dutch and Portuguese traders and English spice merchants. The bright and colourfast hand-printed, mordant- and resist-dyed patterns as well as the incredible cotton fabric itself (which was new to the West) were instantly in demand for home furnishings, and later, for clothing. This duvet set is adorned with exquisite florals, echoing the charm, artistry and craftsmanship of India's chintz tradition, transporting you to a world of timeless elegance.
