IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet compliance automatically adjusts power consumption based on network traffic. Inactive link detection automatically reduces power usage when inactive links are detected. Cable length detection enables automatic power adjustment. The fanless design with external power adapter ensures silent operation in quiet office environments without additional cooling. Models are equipped with SFP slots supporting dual rate (100 M and GbE speed) enabling fibre optic connections for long-distance deployments. Gigabit performance and cost-effectiveness make this ideal for bandwidth-intensive applications such as photo transmission, video and audio streaming and server connections. The model supports IEEE 802.3at PoE Plus standard. Power supply of up to 30 watts per port allows the switch to power PoE-enabled WLAN access points, VoIP phones and IP surveillance cameras through CAT-5 cables without extra adapters. Eight PoE Plus ports with total PoE power budget of up to 130 Watts make this ideal for high-density powered device deployments.
