Jackie's Beauty Notes

Stay up to date with all the latest trends in the Beautyverse for February, as curated by our own Beauty Expert Jackie Oddoye.

If you haven’t already jumped on the liquid/crème blush trend where have you been?!

Whether you’re a blush connoisseur or blush newbie, next date night in your calendar, why not try Benefit’s Bene Tint? This kiss-proof lip and cheek stain delivers the perfect natural flush, however you end up wearing it.

For a cute Valentine’s day look, try applying it to the eyelid and cheeks, if you’re going for a subtle look or for a more intense look, I would use it in the centre of the lip with a gloss on top.

The pink undereye trend is in! Just in time, Trigwell recently released their new ‘velvet setting powders’ including a gorgeous pink shade that is perfect if you want to tap into this trend.

For the best result, set your undereye concealer with the Velvet pink powder using the viral Trigwell powder puff to give you a flawless finish.

Want to push it a step further? Use a crème blush and mix into your concealer shade or after setting everything down, use a powder pink blush of your choice and blend just underneath the eye.

If you’re a no makeup-makeup kind of person and want to get that ‘glow from within’ type of look, the ‘Iconic London Prep-Set-Glow’ setting spray is definitely for you.

This spray can be used before or after your makeup but can also be used on the body, accentuating the décolletage, creating the most stunning glow!

Try spraying on the face after skin prep before applying makeup or spray after applying your setting and bronzing powders. For body use, spray shoulders, neck, and chest.

Show of hands…lip gloss or lip oil?

If you opted for lip oil you might want to get your hands on the ‘Clarins Lip Comfort Oil’ with 8 different shades, delicious scent and new applicator, this hydrating lip treatment might be your new fav!

Use alone with a lipliner for naturally enhanced colour on the lips or over your lipstick, to add volume, shine, and comfort to your pout.

You can also use it as an overnight treatment for perfectly rejuvenated lips that look and feel more beautiful and softer in the morning.

Pearlescent glam is making its way to a face near you and it just might be yours!

Just as Pearly brights are having their moment, Urban Decay are launching their new Moondust Palette including some gorgeous sparkly- shadows for you to experiment with.

For a concentrated look use a small dense brush for an inner corner highlight to open the eye or use a fluffier brush and spread over the lid to create an effortless wet sparkle to the eye.

Finish off with a winged liner and let your eyes be the star of the show!
