Buckle up, you’re about to be taken on a whistle-stop tour of all things skincare.

Normal, dry, oily, or combination… it can be tricky to get your head around your skin type at first. The best way to determine your skin type is to do a skin type test

KNOW YOUR SKIN

Cleanse your face thoroughly with a gentle cleanser, then gently pat the skin dry with a clean towel. After 30 minutes, see how your skin feels. If it feels tight, this indicates a dry skin type. If there’s oiliness or shine, you’ve got combination skin. If you’re on the shiny side in all areas, you likely have oily skin.

DRY SKIN
From tightness and flakiness to redness and itching, dry skin always looks for some TLC. It’s typically caused by genetics, over washing, cold weather, or sun damage.
OILY SKIN
Oily skin is caused by the overproduction of sebum from sebaceous glands under the skin. Opt for lightweight products that are oil-free and include key ingredients like glycolic acid and hyaluronic acid to hydrate, without clogging pores.

COMBINATION SKIN
Characterised by an oily T-zone and drier areas around the cheek, combination skin is caused by genetics, hormonal changes or weather changes.
NORMAL SKIN
Normal skin is balanced skin that shows no signs of major imperfections and is easy to take care of (lucky you!).

It’s time to get personal with your skincare.
